Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Located under the companionway steps is the offset Yanmar 2GM20 marine diesel engine fitted new in approximately 2005. Sea water cooled. Approximately 45 litre fuel tank. Single lever controls. Twin cylinder. 20hp. Shaft drive to a folding Brutons auto prop. 12 volt domestic battery. 12 volt engine start battery. Alternator charging.

Construction

Built in 1939 by Southampton Launch and Boat Building Company to a design of T Harrison Built. Carvel wood construction of mostly pitch pine, with some replaced with larch. Steamed oak frames with copper fastenings. Swept teak laid decks with a plywood sub deck.. Transom hung rudder with a tiller. Long keel with an iron ballast. Last surveyed in 2018 with a copy available. Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Keel stepped Douglas fir mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (2006). Terylene running rigging. Two sheet winches. Hanked-on headsails. Slab reefing mainsail system. Mainsail (2011). Genoa & Jib.

Accommodation

Offering up to 4 berths in a traditional layout. Up forward in the forepeak, there is a single berth to starboard. A pipe cot opposite to port. Jabsco marine toilet is under the pipe cot. Good stowage around the forepeak and a deck opening hatch. In the saloon, there are two single settee berths to port and starboard. The galley is in the starboard quarter with a two burner gas hob and a stainless stink sink with a manual cold water supply. The chart table is opposite in the port quarter with instruments and a switch board. Red vinyl upholstery. Opening port holes.
