Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to five berths in two cabins with standing headroom.  In the fore cabin, V berth with stowage under.  Opening hatch to foredeck.  Separate heads compartment to starboard with Baby Blake marine toilet and washbasin.  In saloon, two settee berths.  Full size chart table. Quarter berth to starboard with galley opposite.  Taylors 029 paraffin two burner gimballed gas cooker with oven.  Stainless steel sink with manually pumped water supply. Cool box. Taylors paraffin cabin heater 079K. Smart pvc upholstery. 

Mechanical Systems

Located behind the companionway. 1973,  Sabb 2H, 16hp twin cylinder marine diesel engine.  Electric start.  Seawater cooled.  Shaft drive to two bladed feathering propeller. Twin lever engine controls. Stainless steel fuel tanks. 5 knot cruising speed.  Maximum speed under power 6 knots. The engine was rebuilt in 2000 with new liners, cylinder head. Winterised and serviced annually. 

There is a spare engine used for parts, plus spare propeller and gear box.

Masthead rigged sloop.  Gold anodised aluminium mast (deck stepped) and boom.  Stainless steel standing rigging (may need replacement).   Terylene running.  In-mast furling mainsail by Tab.  Headsail furling system.  Spinnaker pole.  Two Lewmar 16 self tailing sheet winches.  Two Antal W7 halyard winches.

Construction

Built in 1973 professionally by Terry Erskine Yachts to a design by Maurice Griffiths.  White marine ply hull with Iroko frames. Teak rubbing strakes.  Epoxy sheathed marine plywood deck and superstructure.  Painted non-slip to decks. Aft self draining cockpit (recently rebuilt).  Long keel with external cast iron ballast and bilge plates.  Keel/transom hung rudder.  Tiller steering. All below waterline seacocks are Blakes in bronze. Two combing helm seats. Stainless steel safety rails and guard wires. 

Only 3 owners from new, vendor purchased in 2010.
