This is an boat is for sale via a sealed bids Auction to Clarke & Carter by mid-day on the 16th May 2025. The sale is strictly ?as is where is? without any warranty of condition or description. The Contessa 32 needs no introduction. They have proved themselves many times over, to be seaworthy cruising boats in the worst of conditions. Accelerando has been in the same ownership since 1991 and was raced extensively. She has not been sailed for some time and is need of a refit.

Accommodation

Offering up to six berths in two cabins and is fitted out to a good standard with mahogany joinery. Forecabin with a V-berth with stowage beneath and an opening hatch to the foredeck. Full width heads compartment with a marine toilet and a wet/hanging locker opposite. Saloon consisting of a dinette to port which can convert to offer a double berth, settee berth opposite and useful stowage beneath berths and in lockers. Chart table aft to starboard with navigation instruments, chart stowage and electrical distribution panel. Quarter berth aft of chart table. Galley equipped with gimballed two-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink, cool box and further storage in cupboards and drawers. Manually pumped cold water supply. Beige vinyl upholstery.

Located under the companionway steps is the Volvo Penta MD2020 fitted new in 2002. 19hp, 3 cylinders, fresh water cooled via a heat exchanger. Shaft driven to a fixed 2 bladed propeller. Single lever controls, electric start. 54 litre fuel capacity.

    Built in 1976 by Jeremy Rogers. Blue painted GRP hull (1999). Off-White GRP superstructure with non-slip surfaces. Fin keel with encapsulated lead ballast. Tiller steering to skeg hung rudder. Self-draining cockpit. Teak slats to cockpit seats. Teak cockpit grating.
