Description
Moonfleet is a well cared for lifting keel example of the GibSea 28. Well known as a comfortable cruiser with a reputation for solid build quality and great sea-keeping abilities. The design allows for plenty of living space inside, especially considering the era in which she was designed and built.

Accommodation
She has six cabins between two cabins and the saloon. There is a cosy double berth aft of the galley to port. The c-shaped galley is to port of the companionway, there is a sink with manually pumped fresh water, a folding cover for the gimballed two burner gas stove and grill that allows for more countertop space whilst not cooking. There is a large cool box and plenty of stowage. To starboard of the companionway is the heads. This comprises of a manual Jabsco sea toilet and basin with manually pumped fresh water. There is well thought out stowage/hanging space for your wet weather gear that keeps it separate from the operational parts of the heads.
Mechanical Systems
1981 YANMAR YSM12, single cylinder, 10hp marine diesel engine located under the companionway steps in an insulated engine room. Direct raw water cooled. Shaft drive connected to a fixed two bladed propeller with rope cutter. Stainless steel fuel tank holding approx. 54 litres of fuel. Single lever controls.

Fractionally rigged bermudan sloop with deck stepped aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging. Spinnaker pole. Plastimo headsail furling system. Slab reefing mainsail. Two primary winches in cockpit. Two halyard winches on coach roof. Clutches on coach roof.

Built by Gibert Marine in 1981. White GRP hull with blue sheer stripe. White GRP decks with white painted non-slip surfaces. Stainless steel push and pulpit with safety lines. Cast iron ballast keel with lifting centre plate reduces the draft from 1.9m to 0.85m. Centreplate operated by a winch on the keel box in the saloon. Transom hung rudder with tiller steering. Self-draining cockpit.
