The Cornish Shrimper 19 is a superb family day boat with lifting keel and rudder, which is easily sailed with a gaff rigged mainsail and furling jib. The mast can be lowered easily and the boat can be trailed behind a family car. This example has a fully galvanised road trailer.

Accommodation
Simple open plan interior with two quarter berths with stowage underneath. Red leatherette upholstery.
Mechanical Systems
Located in cockpit well, Tohatsu 6hp four stroke outboard engine. Hand start. Forward and reverse gears. 12 litre plastic fuel tank. Three bladed alloy propeller.
Sails and Spars
Gaff rigged sloop. Varnished mast (new 2024), boom, gaff and bowsprit (2021). Tabernacle. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail. Headsail furling system. Lines led aft to cockpit.
Construction
Built in 1985 by Cornish Crabbers to a design by Roger Dongray. Hull no. 163. Light blue GRP hull with teak rubbing strakes. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip. Long keel with bilge runners and lifting centreplate. Rudder with drop plate. Tiller steering. Aft cockpit.
