The Cornish Crabbers Pilot Cutter is the flag ship model, that has been in production since the mid 1980's. Her beautiful and classic lines, along with her well mannered performance, makes this boat a fantastic modern classic. 'Echo' has been in the same ownership since 2004 and is presented in excellent condition. This is a beautiful boat that is a testament to the owners and the time, effort and expense they have put into her. Notable features include 24V bow thruster, professional Coppercoat in 2021 plus hull/deck/lockers/rubbing strake/gunwhale repainted or recoated where necessary professionally in 2023.

Offering 6 berths in a traditional layout. Up forward is a double V-berth with the heads located neatly underneath. Marine toilet, wash basin with manually pumped cold water. In the saloon there are two single settees either side of a fixed, single drop leaf saloon table. The saloon converts in to a spacious double. Small chart table, port forward part of the saloon with the solid fuel stove opposite.
Behind the saloon seating and to port is the galley basin with a manually pumped cold water supply. Opposite to starboard is the SMEV four burner gas hob & oven. Good storage around the saloon
In the port and starboard quarters are two very comfortable quarter berths with plenty of stowage underneath. Good ventilation throughout. Blue patterned upholstery. 100 litre water capacity in a flexible tank. WOOD BURNING STOVE.
Mechanical SystemsLocated under the cockpit sole is the 1990 Yanmar 3GM30F marine diesel engine. 27hp, 3 cylinders, freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft driven to a fixed 3 bladed propeller. Single lever controls. 64 litre stainless steel fuel tank. Two Racor fuel filters, switchable. Portable diesel fuel polishing 12V with parts for permanent installation.
Maxpower 24 volt bow thruster.
Electrical SystemsGaff rigged cutter. Wooden spars all revarnished in September 2023 (Mast replaced in 2004 by Collars). Deckstepped mast in a tabernacle. Stainless steel standing rigging (2017). Terylene running rigging (2017). Four Harken 16 self tailing sheet winches. Two Harken halyard winches. Davey & Co headsail furling systems. Slab reefing mainsail with lazyjacks.
Cornish Crabbers Pilot Cutter, designed by Roger Dongray. Hull was moulded by Cornish Crabbers in 1990 and delivered to her first owner called Bill Williams who was shipwright and cabinet maker. GRP hull, topsides painted by Suffolk Yacht Harbour in 2023. The hull under the waterline was copper coated by Suffolk Yacht Harbour in 2020. Traditional long keel with steel centre plate. Epoxy sheathed plywood decks which were repainted by Suffolk Yacht Harbour in 2023. Plywood sheathed coachroof. Plywood epoxy sheathed cockpit. Tiller steering to a keel hung rudder. Deep protected cockpit.
