Accommodation
'Meelick Bay' is an imposing vessel with real "small ship" looks and her layout offers four berths across two cabins away from the main accommodation.
FORWARD CABIN: Twin V-berth with fitted sprung mattresses, storage beneath, shelf stowage, radiator and portlights. Access to anchor chain locker. Access to en suite heads compartment.
FORWARD HEADS: Spacious heads compartment to starboard with Jabsco freshwater gravity flush toilet to holding tank, washbasin with mixer tap, vanity unit and extractor fan.
GALLEY: L-shaped galley with generous Minerva work surfaces, equipped with a Neff Flex Induction electric hob and Neff pyrolytic multi function oven with microwave (both new 2015). Penguin Vitifigo 130 litre Class A fridge with icebox (new 2013). Sink with mixer tap and Quooker boiling water tap, ample worktop and stowage space. All equipment can be powered by 240V inverter to allow cooking whilst passage making without the safety concerns of gas or the need to change bottles.
DINETTE - Opposite the galley on the port side is a good-sized dinette providing seating for four people which converts to form another double berth. Additional storage is provided beneath the seats and on bookshelves outboard with a separate freezer locker under the aft seat. Radiator. Access to the impressive engine bay is via a watertight door. On the aft bulkhead of the dinette is the electrical control panel giving easy access to Inverter control, shore supply, genset start, central heating control plus solar panel and battery monitoring.
WHEELHOUSE SALOON: The saloon has excellent natural light and ventilation creating a very comfortable area to relax or entertain in. All windows are tinted and except for the two opening windows are double glazed. Fully equipped internal helm position forward to port with a Kab 411 helmsman's seat, instrumentation, full suite of navigation equipment and engine control panel. Full-size chart table with two drawers and stereo. L-shaped settee to starboard with storage beneath. Port side bar unit with plenty of stowage for glasses etc. Excellent storage is provided beneath the seating and in large lockers outboard beneath the deck. Radiator. Aft bulkhead cupboard containing EPIRB, First Aid kit and flares. The blue upholstery and complimenting carpets are in excellent condition and were all renewed in 2016. Steps up to aft deck fore and aft down to galley and aft cabin.
OWNER'S AFT CABIN: The impressive full-width cabin has a large (200cm x 140cm) island double berth with custom made luxury mattress, beneath berth stowage, two bedside cabinets, hanging and clothes lockers, further stowage, reading lights, radiator and access to en-suite heads.
AFT HEADS: To port is the heads compartment, which comprises of an electric fresh water flush toilet with holding tank (with deck or overboard discharge), vanity unit with hand basin, cupboards, mirror and opening portlight.
Opposite to starboard there is the separate compartment with shower plus bench seat with storage underneath.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: MX50 diesel fired boiler system with radiators throughout. Pressurised hot and cold water system (new pump and capacitor tank 2016) from two 700 litre water tanks giving a 1400 litre total capacity. Large calorifier with 1kw immersion coil (new 2011). Blackwater 250 litre holding tank linked to both heads with overboard and deck outlet. Grey water tank with 120 litre capacity used for heads fresh water flushing. Fabric upholstery in saloon and dinette (new 2016) with complimenting curtains. High-quality teak interior fit-out with excellent stowage provision and plenty of practical grabrails and panelled ceilings. The hull sides and ceilings have been insulated for improved heat insulation and soundproofed saloon floor panels fitted to reduce noise when underway. Carpeted. Numerous opening ports and windows. LED lighting.
EXTERNAL SPACE: The upper helm position with two person bench helm seat with storage below, navigation equipment and a large open aft deck offering excellent space for alfresco dining and entertaining. Wide side decks with good steps, high bulwarks and heavy duty stainless steel guard rails with side gates make deck work a pleasure. Transom mounted stainless steel davits for dinghy stowage. Separate davit for outboard motor deployment.
Mechanical Systems
Located in substantial engine room accessed from galley. Single Perkins Sabre M130C, 1999. 130hp. Sea water cooled. Naturally aspirated. Shaft drive to three bladed bronze propeller. Rope cutter to shaft. Four stainless steel fuel tanks - 4,000 litres plus 250 litres day tank capacity. Elaborate and bullet proof fuel filtering/switch over system. Single lever engine controls. The cruising speed is some 6 knots and at this speed it consumes only 8 litres per hour. 9 knows maximum speed. Approx 3,200 hours logged on engine in total. Two independent steering systems.
HFL, 6 Kva, 240V generator.
Vetus AMEQ6, 10hp, bow thruster.
The boat runs incredibly quietly whilst underway thanks to lots of insulation and quiet exhausts. She's also well suited to inland waterways thanks to the minimal amounts of wake she creates.

Steelwork manufactured by Stentor (Romania) and fitted out by her first owner who was a very experienced boater. Dark blue painted steel hull. White steel coachroof and decks with painted non skid surface. 3.2m air draft with mast lowered (7.6m with it raised). Designed to be able to go to all European canals.
