The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43 Legende is a popular family cruiser which has proved to be a capable passage maker with a comfortable 3 double cabin layout well suited to spending extended periods aboard. Simple to sail short handed with her furling sails assisted by an electric winch. Opah is a great example that has been carefully used and maintained to a good standard. The light and airy interior is pleasantly finished with teak joinery and there is full standing headroom throughout. This three cabin layout offers three double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation plus two saloon berths. In the forward cabin, large double berth with stowage under. Opening hatch to deck. Hanging locker and vanity unit. En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. In saloon, dinette to starboard with small settee opposite. Chart table to port with galley opposite. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water system. 300 litres freshwater capacity in two tanks. Large refrigerators. Microwave oven. Separate heads compartment to port with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. This has an en-suite door to the port aft cabin as well. Twin aft cabins, both with double berths and hanging lockers. Diesel fired hot air central heating. Radio/CD player.
Mechanical SystemsLocated behind the companionway, year 2004, Yanmar 4 cylinder 75hp diesel engine. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to three bladed folding propeller. Rope cutter. Single lever control. 200 litres fuel capacity in plastic tank giving approximately 250 miles range at 7 knots cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 8.5 knots. The engine has been regularly professionally serviced and has logged some 1,067 hours from new.

Electrical SystemsMasthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom by Z Spars. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging. In-mast furling mainsail. Built in 2004 by Jeanneau to a design by Daniel Andrieu. White GRP hull with style stripes. Alloy toe rails. White GRP superstructure with teak laid decks. Teak laid cockpit seats, cockpit sole and bathing platform. Fin keel. Spade hung rudder. Twin steering wheels. Aft self draining cockpit.
Opah is in her third ownership from new (supplied new by Clarke & Carter). Her current vendor had her surveyed in 2019 when he purchased. He has cruised on the East and South coast.
