Hallberg-Rassy 310 "Ithuna" is an exceptional example of these capable offshore cruisers. The practical layout offers good storage plus great comfort, both at sea and in the marina. As you would expect from a German Frers design, they have good performance and are easily sailed shorthanded. "Ithuna" has been carefully used and well maintained by her second owner and includes new laminate sails and saildrive diaphragm in 2022 and Coppercoat in 2023, she needs to be inspected to be appreciated.

Mechanical and Electrical Systems

2011 Yanmar 3YM20, three cylinder, 21hp diesel engine connected to a sail drive (diaphragm replaced 2022) and a three-bladed folding propeller. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever Morse controls. The engine is housed in an insulated engine room beneath the cockpit/companionway. She has a 100 litre plastic fuel tank giving her an approximate range of 300 miles under engine.

She has two 12 volt domestic batteries and one 12 volt engine crank battery. All are charged either by engine alternator, shore power or solar panel. Merlin battery monitor. 240v shore power system with battery charger, immersion heater and ring main.

Construction and Rig

Built in 2011 by Hallberg Rassy to a design by German Frers. White GRP hull with blue sheer stripe. Rubbing strake. Teak toe rails. Fin keel with lead ballast. Tiller steering to spade hung rudder. Tiller extension. Aft self-draining cockpit with walk-through to transom plaftform. Teak laid side decks and cockpit seats. Alloy framed windscreen with opening centre window and side grab handles. Large cockpit locker to starboard. The hull was epoxied below the waterline with Coppercoat antifouling system, renewed in 2023. Last surveyed in 2019 when vendor purchased and all recommendations were carried out.

Fractional rigged sloop. Selden silver anodised aluminium deck stepped, double spreader mast and boom. Discontinuous stainless steel standing rigging with bottlescrew covers. Adjustable backstay. Slab reefing mainsail with stack pack. Selden Furlex below deck furling headsail system. Selden rod kicker. Two Lewmar 16 self-tailing halyard winches. Two Lewmar 40 self-tailing primary winches. Spinnaker pole with mast stowage. Adjustable genoa cars. Mainsheet to single point on cockpit floor with additional removable mainsheet traveller fitted by Hallberg Rassy.

The accommodation offers six berths in two cabins and the saloon. In fore cabin, V berth with stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Separate heads compartment with Jabsco marine toilet, pull out shower and washbasin. 50 litre holding tank. Hanging locker opposite. In the saloon, two settee berths with central saloon table with drop leaves. TV to port saloon bulkhead. Navigation station to port with galley opposite. Eno two burner gimballed gas cooker with oven. Top-loading 12v refrigerator. Twin stainless steel galley sinks with mixer tap. Foot pump fresh water backup.
