Accommodation

The accommodation offers six berths in three cabins with two double berths separate from the saloon. Approx. 6' 2" max. headroom. V berth forward with infill which converts to double and good storage. Saloon with settee berths either side of a central table with folding leaves and bottle stowage, and further stowage in various lockers. Galley aft to starboard equipped with a Neptune 4500 2-burner gas stove with grill and oven, fridge, stainless steel sink and good storage space. Chart table aft to port with stowage.

Separate heads compartment aft to port with Jabsco marine toilet, wash basin with manual fresh water pump and storage areas. Double aft cabin to starboard with hanging locker. Pressurised hot & cold water supply throughout. Blue velour upholstery and light blue curtains throughout with teak and holly saloon soleboards and carpets to sleeping cabins. Webasto diesel fired heating.

Mechanical Systems

Located under companionway in vented and sound proofed compartment is the Volvo Penta D1-30 28hp 3-cylinder diesel engine fitted new in 2012. Freshwater cooled via a heat exchanger. Single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to fixed 3 bladed propeller. Approximately 120 litre fuel tank. Approximately 500 hours on the engine.

The engine was last serviced in Spring 2024 and has been regularly maintained during current ownership.

Construction

Moody 31 MkII built in 1987 by Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd to a Bill Dixon design. White GRP hull with styles stripes, superstructure and decks with light grey moulded non-slip surfaces. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering  with extension to skeg hung rudder. Self draining cockpit and anchor well. Alloy toe rails. Stainless steel rails and guard wires. Sugar scoop type transom.
