The Jouet 940 is a comfortable deck saloon cruising yacht with an interior steering position. With a fully furling rig this is an easy boat to sail shorthanded and the layout below offers up to six berths, with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. The layout offers up to six berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. In the forepeak, separate heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. Holding tank. In saloon, dinette to starboard with settee berth opposite. Fixed table with drop leaf. Central internal helm position with full instrumentation display. Chart table to starboard with galley opposite. Two burner gimballed gas cooker with oven. Stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurised water system. Refrigerator. Microwave. Electric oven and grill. Twin aft double cabins, both with double berths, vanity units and hanging lockers. Eberspacher diesel fired hot air central heating.
Located behind the companionway, Volvo 2030 three cylinder 29hp diesel engine, new in 1996. Electric start. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller. Single lever control. 40 gallon fuel capacity giving approximately 600 mile range at 6 knot cruising speed. Maximum speed under power 7 knots.

Built in 1987 by Jouet to a design by Yves Mareschal. White GRP hull with style stripes. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to deck. Aft self draining cockpit. Twin keels. Skeg hung rudder. Wheel steering inside with tiller outside.
