The business was founded in 1979 at West Mersea in Essex. Six years later, the company acquired Interyacht Ltd. The business merged to form Clarke & Carter Interyacht Ltd. in the early 1990s and has since evolved into one of the most reputable brokerages in the international marine brokerage industry.
Our unbroken trading history and consistent team has enabled us to grow our reputation for honest and professional advice for boat owners and prospective purchasers. Our main offices in Essex and Suffolk are located at the largest marinas in East Anglia, which allows us to serve the needs of our customers sailing in the most popular rivers of our region and beyond. We’re increasingly global too, with a presence in the Caribbean on the island of Grenada.

Clarke & Carter has been the UK-exclusive dealer for Jeanneau sailing boats since 1996. The team boasts an unrivalled knowledge of existing and previous models, allowing owners to lean on them for expert advice on everything from spare parts to maintenance.
The brokerage has also recently taken on the Quicksilver dealership for Essex and East Anglia and are proud to offer the entire range of day boats, weekenders and fishing boats to the East Coast.
