We are inviting sealed bids above the indicated price to Clarke & Carter by 12pm on September 16th 2024. The sale is strictly ‘as is where is’ without any warranty on condition or description. This vessel comes with no mooring attached and must be removed from the boatyard by road or sea no later than 30 days after the completion of sale.

The Seal 28 is a spacious fin keel cruiser designed by Angus Primrose of Moody fame. They were designed to be adept at inshore and offshore cruising and packs plenty of accommodation into their 28' length.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers up to six berths in three cabins. Forecabin with double V-berth, stowage and opening hatch to foredeck. Heads compartment to starboard with Lavac marine toilet, washbasin, stowage and hanging locker opposite to port. Saloon consists of two settee berths. Galley aft to port equipped with a Plastimo two burner gas cooker with oven and grill, sink, coolbox and stowage. Navigation station with aft facing chart table to starboard. Aft cabin is accessed via the cockpit with two single berths in aft cabin.

Mechanical Systems

Located beneath cockpit sole, Bukh single cylinder diesel engine. Seawater cooled. Morse type single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to fixed three-bladed propeller. 

The vessel has been sat ashore for a long period of time and we have no information as to when the engine last ran.

Sails & Spars

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging. Lewmar 16 self-tailing sheet winches.

Seal 28 built in 1977 and designed by Angus Primrose. White GRP hull, superstructure and decks with non-slip surfaces. Alloy toe rail. Fin keel. Tiller steered transom hung rudder. Aft self-draining cockpit.
