Accommodation
The Freedom Pilothouse accommodation offers up to six berths in two cabins, with good headroom and exceptional levels of storage throughout.
FOREPEAK: Fitted out as a walk-in workshop and storage area, with built-in work benches, pillar drill, assorted tools, and fitted storage areas, ideal for 'on the go' maintenance and repairs whilst on long passages. A watertight door leads out to the passageway to the main cabin area with further storage to port and starboard.
MAIN CABIN: A versatile space currently laid out with settee berths to port and starboard (which converts to a double), a range of storage lockers, and two large opening deck hatches. This cabin offers a level of space and comfort rarely found on an aft cockpit yacht, and if preferred, it would be very easy to instate a full-time double berth to starboard.
HEADS COMPARTMENTS: Separate heads compartments to port and starboard, each fitted with a marine toilet (with holding tank), wash basin, shower area, mirror, and storage. Although useful as currently configured, this also provides the opportunity to create a dedicated laundry and drying area ideal for liveaboard cruising.
PILOTHOUSE SALOON: Offering excellent visibility, the saloon has a comprehensively equipped navigation station with internal engine controls and chart table to starboard ahead of the large galley, and a pilot berth and raised seating area to port. Fitted storage is provided throughout with very good access provided to systems.
GALLEY: Large linear galley equipped with a Nelson 2-burner gas cooker with oven and grill, microwave, twin stainless steel sinks, fridge, freezer, ample worksurfaces for food prep, and storage in a range of lockers.
GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Hot and cold pressurised water system via a calorifier. Eberspacher diesel-fired warm air heating system. Pascall Atkey 'Pansy' charcoal stove in main cabin. Two stainless steel water tanks with approx. 450L total capacity and space ready for installing a watermaker. Black (145L), galley (100L), and shower (15L) water tanks with pumping facilities.
Mechanical Systems
Located in an easily accessed engine compartment under the pilothouse sole, Fiat Iveco 84hp four-cylinder diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger.
Dual single lever controls. Two stainless steel fuel tanks with approx. 520L total capacity. Borg Warner velvet drive gearbox (new 2000). Shaft drive with rope cutter to Brunton 4-bladed feathering propeller. Vetus 3kw bow thruster.
The engine is in good cosmetic condition and has been regularly serviced.
Electrical Systems
12 domestic and engine, and 24v winch/windlass/bow thruster, battery banks charged via the engine alternator. Adverc battery management system with Xantrex Link 20 monitoring system. Shorepower system with ring mains, automatic battery charger, and immersion coil for water heating. Zeise 5kva generator (requires investigation/attention - runs but not generating power). Solar panel. Tank Tender tank gauge system. Electrical distribution panel with individual breakers. Full cabin lighting.
Spars and Sails
Free-standing Cat Schooner rig. Tillotson Pearson unstayed carbon fibre masts with aluminium booms. Terylene running rigging all lead aft via clutches. Single line slab reefing with three reefs, lazyjacks, and stackpack sail covers. 2 x Barient 28 STE 24v electric primary winches and Tufnol snubbing winch at companionway. 2 x Gibb 809 Sheetmaster aft deck mounted ancillary winches.
Deck Equipment
Navigation Equipment
Although the VHF radio and AIS transponder are new it will be necessary to replace the VHF cable and possibly upgrade the aerial.
