The Jeanneau Merry Fisher 655 accommodation offers 2 berths in the forward cabin area. Wrap-around forward seating with a removable central table and infill to form a double berth, storage, and opening hatch. Separate heads compartment to starboard with a marine toilet. Wheelhouse with helm position to starboard, two bucket seats, and a compact galley area equipped with a portable gas stove, sink with hand-pumped cold water supply, fridge, and storage to port. Teak finish interior woodwork with cream vinyl fitted cockpit cushions and blue cotton cabin upholstery (all cushions and tables are in almost as new condition). Sliding door to large aft cockpit with cockpit seating pack (optional extra fore, aft, and starboard moulded units, and large cockpit table that drops to form a sunbathing area or external double berth), lazarette, steps to side deck, and walk-thru transom to the moulded bathing platform (optional extra).
Mechanical SystemsLocated under cockpit sole with additional access in the wheelhouse Volvo Penta D3-110 four-cylinder 110hp turbo diesel engine. Single lever engine controls with electric start. EVC engine management system with smart gauge. Shaft drive to three bladed propeller. Plastic rotomolded 120 litre fuel tank.
The engine appears in excellent cosmetic condition, and has only run for 245.9hrs from new. In winter 2019/20 the engine had a full professional service including a new water pump and alternator. The Volvo Penta D3-110 is considered a significant upgrade over earlier alternatives from Yanmar and Nanni thanks to it's reduced noise levels and greater economy. According to official test figures at around 6-7kts it will use approx. 4-6 litres per hour, and cruise comfortably at 13-15kts using approx. 12-14 litres per hour.
